Abstract

ÀÓºÎÀÇ ÀÚ³à¼ö¿Í ¼º¼±È£(àõàÔû¿)¿¡ °üÇÑ º» ¿¬±¸´Â 1975³â 7¿ù 25ÀϺÎÅÍ 9¿ù 25ÀϱîÁö ¼­¿ï½Ã³» 4°³ Á¾ÇÕº´¿ø »êºÎÀΰú ¿Ü·¡¿¡ ³»¿øÇÑ ÀӺΠ320¸íÀ» ´ë»óÀ¸·Î ÀÚ³à¼ö ¼º¼±È£¿¡ ´ëÇÑ °æÇâ, °¡Á·°èȹÀÇ Åµµ ¹× ½Çõ¹æ¹ý¿¡ °üÇØ Á¶»ç¿¬±¸ÇÔÀ¸·Î½á ¿ì¸®³ª¶óÀÇ °¡Á·°èȹ»ç¾÷À» ¹ßÀü½ÃÅ°°í ÀÓºÎÀÇ ½É¸®Àû ¾ÈÀüº¹Áö ÁõÁø¿¡ ±â¿©ÇÔÀ» ¸ñÀûÀ¸·Î ÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç ±×°á°ú ¹× °ç·ÐÀº ´ÙÀ½°ú °°´Ù.
1. Ãâ»ê·ÂÀÌ ³ôÀº ³â·Éº° ºÐÆ÷´Â 25~29¼¼ ±ºÀÌ °ú¹Ý¼ö(61.4%)·Î °¡À帹¾ÒÀ¸¸ç Á¾±³¸¦ °¡Áö°í ÀÖ´Â ÀÓºÎ(57.7%)°¡ Á¾±³¸¦ °¡ÁöÁö ¾ÊÀº ÀÓºÎ(42.2%)¿¡ ºñÇØ ´õ ¸¹¾Ò´Ù. ±³À°¼öÁØÀº ´ë´Ù¼ö(91.9%)°¡ °íµî±³À°À» ¹Þ¾ÒÀ¸¸ç ´ëÁ¹ ÀÌ»óÀÌ °¡Àå ¸¹¾Ò´Ù.
2. ´ë»óÀÓºÎÀÇ ¾à ¹Ý¼ö(44.4%)°¡ óÀ½ ÀÓ½ÅÀ̾úÀ¸¸ç Ãâ»êȸ¼ö ¿ª½Ã 1ȸ°¡ °ú¹Ý¼ö ÀÌ»ó(87.8%)À¸·Î ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù. ÇÑÆí Æò±Õ Ãâ»êȸ¼ö´Â 1.26À̾úÀ¸¸ç ³â·Éº° Æò±Õ Ãâ»êȸ¼ö´Â Åë°èÇÐÀû À¯ÀǼºÀÌ ÀÖ¾ú´Ù(F=13.90 P=0.001).
3. °ú¹Ý¼ö(63.4%)°¡ ÇöÁ¸ÀÚ³à¼ö°¡ ¾ø´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÏ°í ÀÖÀ¸¸ç ÀÌÁß ´ë´Ù¼ö(58.6%)°¡ ¾ÆµéÀ» ¿øÇÏ°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù.
4. ÀÌ»óÀÚ³à¼ö´Â µþÇϳª ¾ÆµéÇϳª 2¸íÀÌ ÀÌ»óÀûÀ̶ó°í ÀÀ´äÇÑ °æ¿ì°¡ °¡°­ ¸¹¾Ò°í(66.2%) °ú¹Ý¼ö(637%)°¡ °áÈ¥Àü°úÀÇ ÀÌ»õÀÚ³à¼ö¿¡ º¯µ¿ÀÌ ¾øÀ½À» ³ªÅ¸³Â´Ù.
ÇÑÆí ³â·Éº° °áÈ¥ÈÄ ÀÌ»óÀÚ³à¼öÀÇ º¯µ¿ »óȲÀº À¯ÀÇÇÑ Â÷ÀÌ°¡ ÀÖ¾ú´Ù(X^2=29.66 d.f.=6, P=0.001).
5. ÇöÀӽŠ¹ÝÀÀ¿¡ ´ëÇÏ¿©´Â ¡¸±â»¼´Ù¡¹°¡Àå ¸¹¾ÒÀ¸¸ç(53.6%) ÀÌÁß ÀӽŹÝÀÀº° ¼º¼±È£ °æÇâÀº ¡¸¾ÆµéÀ» ¿øÇÑ´Ù¡¹°¡ ¹Ý¼öÀÌ»ó(56.7%)ÀÌ¿´°í ¡¸µþÀ» ¿øÇÑ´Ù¡¹´Â ¼Ò¼ö¿´´Ù) (12.9%).
6. Á¶»ç´ë»ó ÀÓºÎÀÇ °ú¹Ý¼ö°¡(56.3%) ÇöÀӽŠÀڳ࿡ ´ëÇÑ ¼º¼±È£ °æÇâ¿¡¼­ ¾ÆµéÀ» ¿øÇßÀ¸¸ç ³²Æí ¿ª½Ã °ú¹Ý¼ö°¡(59.4%) ¾ÆµéÀ» ¿øÇß´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ Áß¿äÀÌÀ¯·Î¼­ Áý¾ÈÀÇ ´ë¸¦ À̾îÁÖ±â À§ÇÏ¿©°¡ °¡Àå ¸¹ÀÌ ³ªÅ¸³µ´Ù.(30.6%).
7. ´ë»óÀÓºÎÀÇ °ú¹Ý¼ö°¡(79.7%) ¿øÇÑÀÚ³à¼ö ¸¸Å­ ºÐ¸¸ÇÑÈÄ °è¼Ó Ãâ»êÀ» ÇÏÁö ¾Ê°Ú´Ù°í ÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç ¾ÆµéÀ̳ª µþÀ̳ª ³²¸øÁö ¾Ê°Ô Å°¿ï¼ö ÀÖ´Ù¸¦ Áß¿äÀÌÀ¯·Î µé°íÀÖ¾ú´Ù(24.4%).
8. °¡Á·°èȹÀÌ ´ëÇØ ¹Ý¼ö(51.5%)ÀÌ»óÀÌ ½Å¹®, ÀâÁö, °¡Á·°èȹ¿¡ °üÇÑ ¹®Çåµî µ¶¼­¸¦ ÅëÇؼ­ ¾Ë°í ÀÖ¾úÀ¸¸ç ±×Áß 1/3(33.4%)ÀÌ °¡Á·°èȹ¿¡ ´ëÇØ Âù¼º¹ÝÀÀÀ» ³ªÅ¸³Â´Ù. ¶ÇÇÑ °¡Á·°èȹ Âù¼º±º°ú °¢³â·É±º°£ÀÇ Åë°èÇÐÀû À¯ÀÇÇÑ Â÷ÀÌ°¡ ÀÖ¾ú´Ù. (X^2=34.1 d.f.=6, P=0.001)
9. ¿øÇÑ ÀÚ³à¼ö ¸¸Å­ ºÐ¸¸ÇÑ ÈÄ ¿µ±¸ÇÇÀÓÀ» ÇÏ°Ú´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÑ ÀӺΰ¡ °ú¹Ý¼ö(79.7%)¿´À¸¸ç ±×Áß¿ä ÀÌÀ¯·Î Àӽſ¡ ´ëÇÑ °øÆ÷Áõ°ú ½É¸®Àû ºÒ¾ÈÀ» ¾ø¾Ö°í ÀÚÀ¯½º·± »ýÈ°À» ÇϱâÀ§Çؼ­·Î µé°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù(43.4%).
10. Á¶»ç´ë»ó ÀÓºÎÀÇ °ú¹Ý¼öÀÌ»ó(68.1%)ÀÌ °ú°Å ÇÇÀÓ°æÇèÀÌ ¾ø´Ù°í ÀÀ´äÇÏ¿´À¸¸ç ÇÇÀÓ°æÇèÀÌ ÀÖ´Â ÀÓºÎÀÇ ¹æ¹ýº°·Î´Â ¸Ô´Â ÇÇÀÓ¾àÀ» °¡Àå ¸¹ÀÌ(14.4%)»ç¿ëÇÏ°í ÀÖ¾ú´Ù.

To evaluate the sex and number of children preferred by a group of pregnant woman, questionnaire was prepared and distributed to prenatal-clinic out-patients of four Major general hospital in Seoul.
A total number of 320 answer sheets were completed by women attending in clinics from July 25 to September 25, 1975.
The study was planned to secure information on their preferences for sex and number of children, and their family planning services in this country.
1. The majority of the sample group were from 25 to 29 years of age(61.4%).
More than half had a religious affiliation(57.7%).
Most had at least a high School education(91.9%).
2. For 44.4% of the women, this was their first pregnancy. For the rest, 87.8% had only previous delivery. Their average delivery rate was 1.26.
3. For 63.4% of the group, this would be their first child. These woman expressed preference for a boy (58.6%).
4. Sixty-six percent of the total group wanted two children, one boy and one girl.
These woman had planned before marriage to have only two children, 63.7% of these had not change their minds.
5. More than half the total group was happy about their present pregnancy (55.6%). Of these, more than half wanted a boy(55.3%) and only 12.9% wanted a girl.
6. For the total group of expectant mothers, preference during this pregnancy was for a boy(56.3%), their husbands¢¥ preference for a boy was 59.4%, The major reason given for wanting a son was the continuation of the family name(30.6%).
7. Most of the woman said that they would not have more than the number of children they had planned(79.7%). The most frequent reason was that the support and rearing of two children was enough responsibility (24.4%).
8. Most of the women favorred family planning(93.4%). Newspapers and magazines accounted for much information about family planning (51.5%).
9. After the desired number of children were born, 79.7% wanted a permanent contraceptive method.
The primary reason was to relieve psychological stress due to fear of further pregnancy and thus ensure a happy life(43.4%).
10. Sixty-eight percent of the group had had no previous experience with a contraceptive. The most frequently used method for those with experience was an oral contraceptive.
